All you can see in this image is produced in the following way. Take a square lattice. Assign to each square a random number. Sum the result with what you get with lattice 2, 4, 8, ... 2^n times smaller. Color according to the number you get for each point... It's a never ended amazment for me to see what marvels of complexity such a simple idea can produce.
